Asian cuisine is hard to find in Marin- Good Asian Cuisine is even harder. Baan Thai is a really good neighborhood restaurant. Delicious curries and BBQ choices even for the pickiest eater. Friendly and welcoming.

Excellent lunch of Panang Curry Chicken. Friendly wait staff.

The new menu tastes absolutely delicious. The atmosphere suits most from couples to family with kids. Staff are very very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend trying this place. While your there try the Thai Iced Tea. And the pineapple fried rice. Delicious.

I go with my wife to this lovely place quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I go to this spot regularly. The food is very good, the crew is professional and the prices are fair. I like being in this restaurant to have a nice supper.

A noodle dish less known than the Pad Thai or Drunken Noodle (but equally delicious!) is the Pad Woon Sen. Baan Thai does an especially good job with it. Not all Thai restaurants have it, so I'm glad to have found a place that does it really well! We tried the green curry, which was so-so. Not bad, but the flavors weren't quite all there. I think I'll stick to the noodle dishes next time. Personal favorites here are Pad Kee Mow and Pad Woon Sen. Pros: great noodles, pretty decor, Thai BBQ available, convenient location in San AnselmoCons: standard service and curry (sample size of one). Not really cons, but I had to list something.

Good ambience and service.. Can improve on taste.. The padthai was very sweet.. And the veg soup had meat aroma..

So far my favorite Thai restaurant in Marin county. This is a cozy place with beautifully presented food in lovely shaped bowls. Service was friendly and efficient. Dishes were fresh tasting; seafood wasn't rubbery and was very tender. Prices are decent, great value. I found many more dishes in the menu that I would love to try, lots of options. We'll be back very soon.

I came here for the first time tonight. It was a warm evening, and they had fans and comfortable air flow in there, with the door open as well, so it was super pleasant. The dining area was tidy and clean. The hostess sensed my hesitation to sit in a large booth, and immediately suggested that I sit by the window. Water came very soon after that by my waiter. The Pad Thai was tasty, not spicy at all, but still flavorful. The dish came with the sprouts, carrots and peanuts on the side, which is a nice option as a customer. I got a cold white wine as well. The meal was really affordable, especially since I took some leftovers to go-- another small meal for later. I highly recommend this spot. As I left they said thank you and goodbye, which is always nice. Cordial. Definitely going back to try some other dishes.

Quality food.

OMG! Absolutely the best! The staff is gracious, kind, welcoming and the food did tantalize our taste buds! Also, after bout of flu bug, the Tom Ka Soup was a PERFECT remedy! The staff was so kind wrapping up specific requests of quarts to go to eat at home! We special ordered one with shrimp (surprised it contiained large deveined prawns!) and the other chicken without mushrooms. This is another one of our favorite places to eat and we are not easy to please (being one of us is a chef) :)

last night was the first time in this restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We had a good time with the good service, with the high quality dishes and fine drinks and with the modest pay. We will no doubt go back there soon.

The Yellow Chicken Curry is excellent! Chicken and potatoes that are so tender they melt in your mouth! This is one of our favorite Thai restaurants in the area!! Highly recommended!!

I really like the Drunkin' Noodles!

I have a garlic allergy so it's hard to eat out, I asked if they could make a seafood dish without and they did, now that is fresh cooking. The dish was amazing! I can't wait to go back. We also had very good service in a nice clean facility and we had our two young children with us, perfect dinner!

The employees are super nice, and they have a salmon and eggplant dish that's the bees knees.

Definitely a spot worth visiting, the food is good and well prepared, the rates are convenient and it is consistently neat in here. 5 stars.

I really want to tell you how great this place is, since I've had some wonderful thai food here. But sadly, this place is very hit or miss. I don't know if they've had multiple different cooks, because sometimes the food will be great, and other times it won't be.Like I've had the yellow curry while dining in, and oh my god, it was so good! I loved it! And a different day I had it take out and it just... was not good at all. I ended up throwing half of it out. It tasted more like chicken soup, or something under seasoned that someone would bring to a thanksgiving dinner.I mean, half the time I've gotten food here, it's really good! And I seem to have better luck getting good food if I go there, but I honestly just like eating in the comfort of my own home while relaxing and watching tv. So I've more or less stopped going, I don't really like to take the risk.

My wife and I had our very first date here. Very memorable spot for us. Food, ambience, and service are all great. What more can you ask for?

Some of the best Thai food in Marin.

My wife and I are avid Thai cuisine diners. We have had great Thai food, mediocre Thai food, and the stuff passed along as Thai food. My wife has a history with Thai food and culture with her father being born there, and her family residing there off and on over the past half-century.We both agreed that the food was good, but fully dependant on what is ordered. The Drunken noodle was one of the best I've had and its near the top of her list as well. However, we also got the Matsuman curry, both for taking out. After paying above average for this (which is to be expected here), we got it home and realized that the curry was just pot roast in curry sauce. The most disappointing part though was having to make our own rice when we got home... So much for a quick dinner. I expected far more from a Michelin rated restaurant, especially the inclusion of steamed white rice.

It's not Thai food, it's americanized food disguised as Thai. Everything was way to bland. We ordered 8 dishes amongst four of us, shrimp was raw, Papaya salad was sweet, beef was sweet, nam pla prik was not spicy, service was terrible even though the place was empty. The flat noodles with lots of nam pla were good though.

This place never fails to impress. They have great food for fair rates, there is no waiting time even when the spot is full.

First-rate environment and very affable service. The food was crisp and yummy. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends. Affordable prices and big portions. Great job.
